Kirsti Norris

I have always had a deep interest in environmental and social issues, and early memories are of watching images of Greenpeace putting themselves between the harpoon and the whale, or spraying baby seals with paint to make their fur worthless. At 16, I started to work with environmental NGOs, and over 15 years learned a lot about sustainability issues and communicating to different stakeholders.

I decided to follow my passion in my studies, and achieved a first class degree in Environmental Quality and Resource Management. In 2003 I became an Associate of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). In 2007 I achieved a Masters at distinction level in Responsibility and Business Practice from the University of Bath.

Kirsti Norris Action for Sustainability

I now have over thirteen years experience working within the public and private sectors in environmental management, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility, as well as within consultancies specialising in energy efficiency and behaviour change.

My background has given me a very down-to-earth, practical outlook on sustainability issues. I enjoy building relationships with clients, and truly understanding how sustainability can then be easily and naturally incorporated into their practices to achieve real benefits. My experience and training has provided me with a whole wealth of approaches and techniques I can draw on to best assist an organisation on their sustainability journey.

As an owner-managed business, Action for Sustainability projects are led and delivered by myself. When additional capacity and expertise is required, I partner with consultants, designers, or other experts suited to the task from my professional network.
